Slow Food Saddleback is holding a special event to celebrate Terra Madre. It will be on Sunday 12 December at the Pavilion in Kiama. An afternoon/evening Slow Food delicious light food event and the showing of the film "Rosemary's Way" which evidences that "welcome" is more than a word, it is a movement. Rosemary Kariuki, the star of the film is this year’s Australian of the Year, (local hero), is attending on the day as our guest at the request of our members.

Josh Stuart will take us down to the chicken paddock and talk us through the farm philosophy and what it takes to produce these delicious eggs. We¹ll then move on to the grading sheds where we can get some hands on experience boxing and stamping eggs to take home.

Masterclass: Gnocchi with Rosa Matto

On 25th September, 2021 Slow Food South Australian combined local ingredients such as La Casa Del Formaggio, Paris Creek BD Farm, Kangaroo Island Eggs, Murray River Salt, and SA extra virgin olive oil products plus ingredients grown in backyards such as herbs, pumpkin and potatoes, to explore the traditional art of  all things gnocchi  presented by chef & slow food member Rosa Matto.
