Changing the Food System!
Slow Food Australia National Conference – August 20-23, 2015 Ulladulla, NSW

The Slow Food Australia National Conference is a chance to come together with supporters of the movement for good, clean and fair food, be inspired by guest chefs, producers and experts working to “Change the Food System” and explore the picturesque Shoalhaven region and its food culture.

The theme “Changing the Food System! Good, Clean & Fair for All Australians”, will be explored through updates on Slow Food’s national and international projects and campaigns as well as discussions and speakers on important national issues like sustainable seafood, ethical meat production, consumer choice and labelling and raw milk cheese.

Michael Croft, farmer, food activist and Slow Food Canberra member
Alison Lansley, Australia Specialist Cheesemakers’ Association
Kris Lloyd, Head Cheese maker at Woodside Cheese Wrights, SA
Paolo di Croce, General Secretary Slow Food International
Amorelle Dempster, Slow Food International Councillor for Australia

A Slow Fish dinner will be held on Friday evening at Rick Stein’s at Bannisters and a Slow Meat dinner will be held on Saturday at Cupitt’s Winery, providing an opportunity to discuss ethical seafood and meat choices with producers.

The conference is hosted by Slow Food Shoalhaven, who will share their knowledge of the picturesque NSW south coast. Be sure to allow some time to enjoy the scenic and gastronomic offerings of the region.
