SLOW Food Australia has more than 2000 members in all regions of the country, from a cheesemaker in south-eastern Tasmania to a boab-tuber grower in Kununurra in north-western Australia, and in regional capitals, country towns and farming communities.
Australian convivia in diverse parts of the country organise major events and activities including:
- Melbourne – A Taste of Slow, a biennial event encompassing food forums, workshops and markets
- Adelaide and Barossa – Barossa Slow, a biennial event celebrating the food culture of the Barossa Valley
- Perth – Small, slow food at the Mundaring Truffle Festival
- Canberra – Slow soup kitchens, food of value, not price
- Western Australia – Small food awards, an annual cross-convivia project in Western Australia to recognise rural food producers, chefs and enterprises
