Queensland / Maleny / Thu 22 Oct 2009 / Slow Food Sunshine Coast Hinterland will host a a conversation about ‘safe food’ / You are invited to join food producers from throughout the Sunshine Coast Hinterland at this workshop with Kerry Bell from Safe Food Production Queensland. Kerry is strategic evaluation and assessment manager with Safe Food Production Queensland, which is the Queensland agency that administers and applies Food Standards Australia New Zealand regulations. Here’s an opportunity to give feedback to Safe Food and ask questions (outside of audit time!) about your safety management plan. After the group discussion, there will be time set aside for individual producers to have five minutes with Kerry, to talk with him about issues specific to their enterprise. Then stay on for lunch at Sacred Chef’s Slow Cafe, showcasing local foods (if you would like to bring some of your produce for display or for inclusion in the menu, please contact Julie Shelton M 0439 944 690) / Time: 10:30am – 12:00pm / Maleny Community Centre / Fee: $3.00 per person.
